Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between TLH – The Laundry House (‘ Laundry House ’), which specializes inter alia in laundry and dry-cleaning services (‘Services’), and any individual/s availing the Services of The Laundry House (‘Customer/s’) for the processing of any clothes, garments, accessories, apparel, footwear and upholstery (‘Articles’), to ensure clarity and mutual understanding between The Laundry House and its Customer/s, promoting a smooth and transparent service experience. These Terms and Conditions are to be read with and in addition to any other terms and conditions communicated to the Customer/s, including but not limited to the terms and conditions as available on the bill/challan and membership forms.

Availing the Services of The Laundry House shall constitute an unconditional acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions herein and any other applicable terms and conditions as communicated to the Customer. The Customer is requested to read the following terms carefully to avoid any confusion at the time of availing services and delivery.

  • Customers are advised to examine the processed Articles at the time of receipt/delivery. The Laundry House shall not be responsible for any damage or quality issues reported after twenty- four (24) hours of delivery.
  • Compensation to the Customer, if applicable in the circumstances of each case, shall be maximum upto five (5) times the value of the charges for the processing of the specific Article considered damaged/lost, or ₹3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand Only), whichever is lesser, in the form of alternative services only.
  • Any compensation or refund to the Customer shall be at the discretion of The Laundry House.
  • No compensation or refunds will be provided for delays in pickup/delivery due to force majeure or unavoidable situations. The Laundry House shall not be liable for any loss or damage to Articles due to fire, burglary, natural calamities, or other situations that are beyond the control of The Laundry House.

  • Tariffs for Services at The Laundry House may vary from store to store, and city to city. Please check the relevant price list for your area/outlet before service request.
  • If any customer makes advance payments for any Services, The Laundry House shall mention the due receipt of the same, including the amount paid in advance on the bill or challan copy of the order.
  • Tariff for processing of designer/high-end clothes or complex Articles would be communicated to the Customer upon examination of the Articles by the experts at the store. If the Article is valuable, it is the responsibility of the Customer to declare the price/value of the Article(s) at the time of handover for better care, particularly if the value is above ₹3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand Only).
  • Express/urgent delivery services are provided at the discretion of the Outlet, and is chargeable at applicable tariffs.
  • The Laundry House Membership is non-refundable, and not subject to full or partial buyback. It is the sole responsibility of the Customer to utilize the full value of the membership within the prescribed validity period.

On receipt of the original bill/challan copy by the Customer, the order placed with The Laundry House shall only be cancelled at the discretion of The Laundry House.

The Laundry House only provides laundry and cleaning services, and delivery of processed articles. Thus, The Laundry House does not provide any shipping services.

  • Processing of Articles is done as per the wash care label instructions, wherever provided. However, The Laundry House is not liable for any damage caused to the Articles by the use of these methods.
  • Although best efforts are given to address stain issues, there is no guarantee of 100% stain removal. At any point, The Laundry House may decide to not further process any Article(s) if deemed that doing so may damage the Article(s). At the instance and sole risk of the Customer, Articles may be re-processed for stain removal at applicable tariffs. The Laundry House reserves the right to refuse to process any Article.
  • The Customer is responsible for removing any ornaments or jewellery lining that may get damaged or cause damage to the Articles during processing, before handing over the Articles for processing.
  • Customers shall ensure to take the original bill/challan, either as hard copy or soft copy, after handing over Articles for processing, and present the same at the time of delivery of processed articles. In case the Customers are unable to present the bill/challan at the time of delivery, delivery shall only be made to the owner after verifying his/her credentials.
  • Any delay in delivering processed Articles due to delay in producing original bill/challan copy by customers shall be the sole responsibility of the customers. Customers accept complete responsibility for the receipt of Articles by persons other than those who have subscribed to the service/placed the order.
  • The Laundry House shall not be responsible for the safekeeping of any processed articles of the customer, if not collected or accepted within fifteen (15) days of the scheduled delivery date.
  • In case if any order/articles have been wrongly delivered to a customer, they shall immediately assist and notify The Laundry House about such error, to help enable proper delivery of the orders.
  • Dry cleaning packaging is for delivery purposes only and not for storage. Customers should remove processed articles from the packaging upon delivery. All articles are to be stored as per the guidelines of the Brand/Manufacturer of the Article.
  • The Laundry House collects certain personal information from Customers during registration or availing of services at the store and/or on the website and mobile application of The Laundry House. This data collection is based on the express consent of the Customer, protected under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Rules framed thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The data so collected shall not be transmitted to any third party without the consent of the Customer, except as required by law.
  • The data collected by The Laundry House, with the consent of the Customer shall be used to inform customers about the status of their orders, for transmission of promotional posts, packages and offers, and for survey and feedback purposes for the Services of The Laundry House.
  • By availing the services of The Laundry House and providing data as requested, the Customer expressly consents that the data collected may be used in the above manner and in the manner deemed fit by The Laundry House, subject to applicable laws.
  • The Laundry House shall reach out to the Customer for the above purposes by way of telephonic calls, WhatsApp messages, text messages, and/or e-mails.
  • The Laundry House is active on several social media platforms for the marketing of its services, and by use of its services, the Customer expressly consents to the usage of images of his/her processed Articles on the said platforms or the website of The Laundry House for promotional purposes, provided that such usage does not disclose any personally identifiable information of the Customer.
  • All disputes are subject to the local jurisdiction of the store/outlet location only. Any dispute between the Customer and the store/outlet shall be dealt with by the store, within the jurisdiction of the store/outlet, and The Laundry House shall be absolved from any liability arising therefrom.
  • Any disputes relating to The Laundry House membership shall be dealt with by the concerned store/outlet, and The Laundry House is absolved from any liability arising therefrom.
  • The Laundry House reserves the right to suspend or discontinue any membership or scheme at any time, if the Customer/member breaches any terms and conditions of The Laundry House or engages in any fraudulent activity, misuses the membership or misrepresents any information for the misuse of the membership, or for any other reason at its discretion.
  • The Laundry House reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, as it deems fit. Any changes carried out will be updated on the website or communicated to the Customers via appropriate channels.
  • The Laundry House shall be absolved of any liability on account of health problems, disorders, or allergic reactions arising from interaction with the cleaning materials and chemicals used in the processing of the Articles of Customers.
  • The Laundry House shall not be held responsible for any damage to Articles that cannot withstand the cleaning process due to heat, age and condition of Article, manufacturing defects, rigour of stain removal process or any other process that may cause any damage to the Articles on processing.
  • The Laundry House shall not be responsible for colour fastness, colour bleeding, colour running, colour fading, shrinkage or damages to embellishments or embroidery work on the Articles during or after processing, the possibility of which shall be notified in advance to the Customer. Any damages as a result of such processing on Customer’s request, despite notifying them of the possibility of such damage, shall be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
  • The Laundry House shall not be responsible for any valuables/objects/cash/documents etc. that have been inadvertently left in the pockets or crevices of any Articles to be processed, or any damages caused to the Articles due to the foreign objects left therein.
